Vaccinations / vaccination certificate

The Taiwanese authorities have now brought the local outbreak under control. I advise you to continue to follow the instructions of the local authorities closely. The Taiwanese authorities want to fully vaccinate as many residents as possible. The vaccination program in Taiwan also applies to foreigners residing in Taiwan. With a vaccination certificate issued by Taiwanese authorities, you can enter the Netherlands with the exception of vaccination with the local vaccine Medigen, which is currently not approved by EMA.

Dutch nationals who do not live in the Netherlands but do have a BSN number can also be vaccinated in the Netherlands and a QR code (DCC) of the vaccination certificate can be downloaded via the app and website CoronaCheck; this QR code also serves as a valid vaccination certificate for travel to the Netherlands.

If you do not have a valid vaccination certificate, you must submit a negative PCR test prior to your trip to the Netherlands, no more than 48 hours before departure. More information about traveling to the Netherlands can be found at: https://reizentijdenscorona.rijksoverheid.nl/nl/doelen

Corona admission ticket in the Netherlands (DCC)

People aged 13 and older need a corona admission ticket (DCC) in many places in the Netherlands. Dutch nationals with a citizen service number who have been fully vaccinated in Taiwan with an EMA-approved vaccine, can have their Taiwanese vaccination certificate registered in the Netherlands and thus obtain a QR code (DCC). For this you need to make a telephone appointment in the Netherlands. Here is the link with information about this registration: https://www.rijksoverheid.nl/onderwerpen/coronavirus-covid-19/corona proof/vaccinatiegedrag/gevaccineerd-in-het-buitenland

Non-Dutch citizens in possession of a citizen service number (BSN) or who are staying in the Netherlands for a longer period of time can also receive a QR code for their vaccination certificate in the Netherlands. They also need to make a telephone appointment in the Netherlands.
