The VNT Christmas Dinner – an event for all!
This year, the VNT Christmas Dinner was held at 1915, a restaurant located at the National Taiwan Museum Nanmen Branch. A particularly attractive room on the ground floor, so that you can also enjoy the fountain and the courtyard behind it. Among the almost 80 participants there were also around 15 children.
For them, the evening started with decorating cakes with icing. The highlight for the children was of course “Magic Ethan”, who completely captivated the children with his fantastic magic acts. Adults were also involved in the act. And those present were even taught how to perform a certain trick themselves. We are very grateful to Ethan for his very fun and inspiring performance!
Before that, Chairman Maarten van Dam had given a speech in which he welcomed the guests and introduced his fellow board members to everyone, and thanked them for their support and efforts in the past year including the current Christmas party. A special word of thanks was given to Arthur Kater and Larry Chiang, who together provided the delicious frikandels, which we enjoyed so much with drinks before dinner. He also thanked the sponsors of the VNT, in particular Heineken, the Belgian and Dutch Offices in Taipei, and the Dutch School.
Of course we also thanked all the volunteers who once again ensured that we could enjoy yet another lovely evening with family and friends!
Here we would also like to give a special thank you to Per Jansson, who made a report of the entire Christmas event that you can find in the beautiful photos that Per took. Among the photos there are also photos of other members.
We wish you all a very Merry Christmas and of course all the best for 2024 for you and your loved ones!
